After much feedback over the years concerning the honest expression of my
opinions about certain barbecue establishments that I feel
deserve the worst-of-the-worst "1-pig" rating ony my scale of 1 (horrible)
to 4 (best of the best), out of fairness to the owners of these barbeque
joints and out of consideration of the sensibilities and wishes of my
readership, I am no longer going to go into details of the specifics of why
I feel this or that place deserves my lowest rating.
From now on, when a place is rated by me as deserving of 1-pig, I will simply
list it as such with this explanation and nothing more. Safe to say, if it's
listed in the worst-of-the-worst category, then to me its bar-b-q isn't
worth going there to eat, nor would I take anyone else there as my dining
companion. I have and will base this judgment on the quality of the chopped
or pulled-pork only and won't include other extraneous factors such as
bad service, a low health department rating, etc., quality of product alone
determining their inclusion here.
As always, if you're an owner or a loyal customer of one of these places
who disagrees with my assessment, you're more than welcome to submit a
dissenting review that I'll gladly post here uncensored in any way
as a standalone review, just
email me your own review within the body of your
email, or you may post your views
