IMHO only of course, Star Food Product's Brunswick stew is superior to any I've encountered (albeit limited experience) elsewhere, with the exception of a comparable product made and sold each year by the members of a rural church near Hillsborough. I have found Star's stew in Food Lion and Wal-Mart stores; it may be sold in others as well.

Here is a link to a review from the Washington Post for your consideration of a great place in Manassas, VA - it's called the Virginia Barbecue Company, part of a chain with a limited number of stores. It has the best Eastern style I've ever had in the DC area.
