Four Principles Of Growing World Freedom & Eliminating World Poverty Within A Single Generation, In Less Than Six-Hundred Words
by
H. Kent Craig

World poverty can be totally eliminated within a single generation if the following four things could happen:

  1. Establish stable, secure totally NON-corrupt governments with total transparencies of all governmental operations and accounting for all public funds in every country of the world. While democratic governments would be preferable, democratic governments say as opposed to constitutional monarchies or religious oligarchies are not 100% necessary to help a country’s people be truly free, getting rid of the corruption that is so universal in all 3rd-World-countries is.
  2. No matter if major societal assets are in state-owned or private control, don’t take more than one-third to one-half of a typical person’s annual income in taxes. Everyone wants to be able to feed and take care of themselves and their own families in the best way they know how to, but you have to allow them to keep enough of their income to be able to do so. If you allow people’s spirit of pride and enterprise to come to the surface, they will take care of their own and the standards of living in their own country and across the world will begin to rise immediately.
  3. No matter what form of government a country has, even in a rigidly controlled social one, a country’s people must be allowed political freedom to make their own choices as well as economic freedom to spend the fruits of their portion of their own kept labors as well. You can’t have the fruits of economic freedom without the parallel underpinning of political freedom, or vice’ versa.
  4. Make an insignificant public expenditure of 1/10th of 1% of the world economy’s GDP/Gross Domestic Product to: 4a) immunize every child under age six on the planet against the basic diseases which kill so many of them before they reach age six, and 4b) give each one of those children a single, solitary set of basic schoolbooks, something like the old McGuffey's Readers educated so many of our grandparents and great-grandparents in the US but which will be written in each child’s own particular language. Then let the parents of those children create their own educational communities to further their children’s education, according to the mores and customs of their community. Since there would be beacons hope now shining from the embracing of the first three principles above, creating literate, tolerant, and forethoughtful citizens of the world’s societies would help ensure our forward progress and growth as humankind
Yes, it would be that simple! Do the above four things, and the GDP of the world would rise a full three percentage points, paying back the modest investments made thirty times or more over, within ten years after the above Four Principles Of Growing World Freedom happen.

The "Four Principles" are nothing more than branch extensions of "The Golden Rule", and yes, The Golden Rule of treating your neighbor as you wish to be treated yourself is both the simplest philosophical principle the world has ever known and simultaneously the hardest to follow while potentially having the greatest impact to further the evolution of us an eventually enlightened species, but to get to there, to get where we want to go, we’ve got to at least try.

Yes, it is, can be and will be that simple!
