There's so much to be said I don't know where to start
To tell you the things that are deep in my heart
There's no doubt in my mind that God gave me you
And all through these years to that bond we've been true

God made such a good plan for father and mother
To carry this out we needed each other
I'm so glad you're the one who fathered my nest
And all of our brood know and say "You're the best"

Through the years many things have torn at our hearts
But none of these things could tear us apart
Now we have come near to the end of our way
And our love has grown sweeter with each passing day

I don't feel I deserve all the sweet things you say
But they come from your heart; you prove that each day
by  the help that you give you show that you care
Oh, help me be worthy each day - is my prayer

No one else could have been so good to me
As you've been – so it is plain to see
That God brought us together and gave us our love
To share here below 'til we're called above
